Hi all, we all like soft drinks kept chilled during the yucky hot summer days. But how often you have faced this "cooling charge extra....." dialog from the vendor. I hope almost all the soft drinks lovers has either faced this situation knowingly or unknowingly. Sometimes, we dont even bother to check the printed price on a cold drink bottle and we pay the amount demanded by the vendor. But most of the vendors are earning 
1, to 5 extras on each bottle they are selling us. Few days back, an incident occurred with me, i went to reputed vendor in Jorhat district. I asked him for a 500ml cold drink bottle. The vendor who was also the owner of the shop demanded 2 extra from me. I asked him, why are you charging 2 extra from me, he told me the common dialog, "Cooling charge extra required". I agreed to pay him 2 on the contrary that he should provide me Cash memo of the Cold drink I bought. This time the attitude of the vendor was at high, he told we cant provide you cash memo for the extra charge, then I said why shall I pay you extra in that case. As a result of this he refused to sell me the cold drinks or any other items from his shop. The next shop I moved in the scenario was same. I know 2 or 5 extra for a cold drinks wont affect our pockets much, but why are we paying those extra money to someone who already earned his profit. No one is authorised to take extra money over MRP. We the people must aware of this situation at our own. Please stop paying extra amount to any vendor over MRP. We should not wait for our Governments to look into these matters, they have much important issues to look over. We all and we can make a change to this by not paying extra over MRP to any vendor. If they are asking extra, ask for proper cash memo of the same or create a scene in front of their shop so that they get bound not to take extra charge from anyone else again.
